Cold-Pressed Nut Oils, Explained
Cold pressing uses mechanical pressure rather than aggressive refining to retain more of an oil’s natural aroma, colour and character. Each Hunza oil has a different texture and best use.
Apricot kernel oil
Light and silky with a gentle nutty note, apricot kernel oil works as a finishing oil and in small amounts on damp skin or dry hair ends.
Almond oil
Almond oil has a smooth feel and naturally contains monounsaturated fats and vitamin E. Use it over finished food or as a modest personal-care oil.
Walnut oil
Walnut oil is deeper and more aromatic. Its delicate polyunsaturated fats make it best for dressings and finishing rather than high-heat frying.
Protect freshness
Close bottles promptly and keep them cool and dark. Refrigerate walnut oil after opening for culinary use.
